As the proud owner of the Austral Pumps brand M&Q Equipment sells and services all types of Slurry Pumps, Sump Pumps, Gravel Pumps and Dredge Pumps through our extensive customer base Australia wide and internationally.
Austral Pumps have been involved in the manufacture of Pumps and Pump Parts in Australia for over 50 years. Our reputation for frank honest consultation and product quality are second to none. We have a specialised team who can offer a full on-site consultation, a refurbishment service along with fabrication, blast and paint facilities to give any pump a new lease on life.
Major industries serviced are Sand and Mineral mining through the full spectrum of Metaliferous and Coal mining right across to the Sugar industry, and everything in between.
We have over 10,000 fully interchangeable Spare Parts in stock in our Brisbane warehouse.
With an on-site technical facility we hold up to date drawings of all the pumps we sell and service.
All our parts undergo rigorous QA testing. Thorough QA checks are carried out during manufacturing and then further QA procedures when entering our store. All parts are visually checked and all critical machine tolerances are rechecked by our Engineering staff to ensure their correctness. These checks are done using various micrometres and measuring instruments including laser measuring equipment. All White Iron (Chrome Alloy) castings are checked by spectrograph to ensure correctness of composition at the foundry before pours are done. Upon receipt all White Iron parts are checked for hardness by our Engineering staff and periodically checked by an independent testing body which is NATA accredited. Our Chrome Alloy parts generally test around 5% harder than similar parts on sale in Australia.
